I broke the law to get this reference photo. My husband and I were walking through Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs with my brother, sister-in-law, and niece. And I peaked through some trees to see this beautiful view of a field and a rock formation. But the branches were blocking my view so I hopped over a fence and snuck through the trees to snag a photo that I knew would make a great painting. I felt a little nervous that I might get in trouble for hopping the fence and disobeying the “do not enter” sign, but mostly I was so excited to paint when I got home.
